What does First Presbyterian do?
We actively participate in the "Summer Lunch Box" program in Warrensburg,
to make sure every child has the chance for a hot lunch when school's out.
We built the Culton Street Outreach Center for the community, which houses
the Warrensburg Food Center, Survival Adult Abuse offices (a shelter for
women and children) and a community meeting room.
We
actively participate in various programs ranging from Christmas
celebrations to homeless assistance.
We provide a safe
haven for discussion and dialog about tough issues that face the world,
our nation, and our community.

First
Presbyterian Church of Warrensburg, Missouri has a long history of
participating in local leadership in social justice issues. In fulfilling
Jesus Christ's mandate to serve our community, we have been involved in
mission and outreach since our inception in 1852. We continue this
tradition of mission with volunteers and gifts to many programs,
including:
- Warrensburg Meals-On-Wheels
- The Warrensburg Food Bank
- Summer Lunch Box Program
- Parents Day Out Program
- Survival Adult Abuse Center
- Johnson County H.E.L.P. (Homelessness Eliminated by Loving People)
Our reach is limited only by the number of people willing
and able to help--so if you are looking to serve God,
let us know.

Fellowship Fun
There's always something fun happening at First Presbyterian! Monthly
events keep our members close to each other. It might be patriotic
caroling in July, a square dance and a pool party in August, a hayride and
party in October, a journey to Bethlehem in December, or an old time
religion Sunday service--whatever the spirit moves! Kids enjoy church
"lock-ins" (special overnight parties that leave the adult volunteers
sleepless)!
And if you're on a diet, watch out--because
Presbyterians love to cook. The ice cream social, the fish fry, the "Souper"
Bowl, and any other excuse for a potluck or dinner fellowship to raise our
spirits and remind us of God's gifts of food, friendship and fellowship in
Jesus Christ.
